At our first meeting of the semester, we had a successful Skype conference with Brunswick Group. Our guest speakers from Brunswick Group included:

Josh Criscoe, Executive
Hannah McCulloch, Account Research and Northeastern alum

Kathleen Duke, Human Resources

We were able to learn more about Brunswick Group and their corporate communications across the globe. They operate as a “one firm firm” meaning that they look at the geography of the issue that is being presented by their clients and then work to put together the perfect team across specialty areas. Josh emphasized the cross disciplinary approach that Brunswick Group takes with their clients.

Hannah and Kathleen discussed internship opportunities at Brunswick Group as well as introduced NU PRSSA to their rotational program.

The Brunswick Group rotational program is an entry-level program that allows participants to rotate through different positions and teams throughout the company. The first six months are typically on the research team, then social media, and finally a client or special project rotation. Hannah worked as a coop at Brunswick Group as an undergraduate at Northeastern and then went back to take part in the rotational program. Both Hannah and Kathleen touted the internship program as extremely hands on in a fun and welcoming office environment.

Thank you to Josh, Hannah and Kathleen for speaking with NU PRSSA!

If you are interested in applying for the internship program, please see the handout above (in the slideshow).

This Wednesday, February 1 we will be welcoming John LeRoy of 360 Public Relationsand a former president of NU PRSSA!
