Ark Seeks Interns

Ark is a venture-backed search engine that is changing the way we search for people.  They love social networking, but don’t like how difficult it is to discover the people around you.  So they built a search engine for your social life, collecting data from 2 billion social network profiles and providing you with 30 filters to find exactly who you are looking for: whether its people in your city, people with similar interests, or people working at a company you hope to join.

Ark.com is looking to hire 1-3 campus representatives at Northeastern University.  The reps will work with their team in San Francisco to plan Ark’s campus launch and to spread the word about Ark on campus through a marketing campaign and killer events.

Interns responsibilities and opportunities:

The campus rep internship is for people who are interested in the consumer internet space, social networking, and who are actively involved in their school communities.  The reps will have the opportunity to work on a campus launch campaign that will enhance their leadership, marketing, and entrepreneurship skills, and they will have access to a unique network of Ark campus representatives across the United States.  The internship is unpaid and the commitment required varies from rep to rep.  Some reps may wish only to commit a few hours (giving out invites to friends, handing out swag on campus), while others will be interested in helping Ark plan and execute a full campus launch and organize awesome Ark-sponsored events on their campus.

The fine print:
To apply, candidates should email campusinterns@ark.com with their school name in the subject line, and with a resume and short cover letter attached.  Keep it casual…they just want to learn more about you and your ability to help conceive and implement a marketing campaign on your campus.  Ark will accept applications on a rolling basis, so interested students should apply as soon as possible.
